The last time you read about the LG Velvet here on Gear was when we reported about LG issuing an official invite for the launch of the device. That invite came in the form of a 15-second video. In that article, we also talked about the specifications and features of the phone, which was detailed in a detailed press release issued by LG Korea. We already know that LG plans to launch the Velvet on May 7 and that the device will go on sale in Korea in the next few days. Ahead of its launch, the LG Velvet seems to have already reached brick and mortar stores across South Korea. This is because we have come across hands-on pictures of the phone clicked apparently at a mobile phone store in the country.

While most of us smartphone buffs have already seen the LG Velvet in press images, here are a few hands-on images of this soon-to-be-launched upper mid-range handset. These images first appeared on Naver Cafe, a Korean forum. The photos were then posted by leakster Sleepy_Kuma on his Twitter handle.

As seen from the images above, the LG Velvet looks like a premium device. The person who claimed to have captured the photos claimed that the Velvet is a ‘high-quality’ device made of premium materials — something that has already been confirmed by LG in its press release.

One key accessory that has also appeared in these images is the optional dual-screen attachment that can be used to increase the screen real estate of the LG Velvet. While we knew that LG was planning to launch this accessory, the rest of the details, including the specifications and the price, remain under wraps as of now.

As for the rest of the specifications, we already know that the LG Velvet uses the Snapdragon 765 5G chipset. The display on the Velvet measures 6.8-inch across in the 20.5: 9 aspect ratio. The phone gets a stereo speaker setup and gets a triple camera setup at the rear consisting of a primary 48MP sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle secondary camera, and a 5MP depth-sensing camera. The LG Velvet gets a 4,300 mAh battery with support for 10W wireless charging.

With just days left for the launch of the LG Velvet, we should know the rest of the specifications of the device very soon.
