It’s been a week since South Korean electronics major LG launched its new W-Series smartphones in India. The W-Series is an online-only brand (as of now) and seems to be a direct response by LG to the brands like Realme, Xiaomi, ASUS, and Motorola – all of which have a sizable presence in the budget segment with their excellent smartphone portfolio. At the time of the launch, LG had revealed that two of the three W-Series devices that were showcased at the launch (the W10 and the W30) would go on sale starting today, July 3, 2019. The first flash sale of both these handsets went live on Amazon earlier today and if we are to believe a tweet by LG, both the devices went out of stock within minutes of the sale going live.

LG10, W30 First flash sale a massive success

A little over two hours after the LG W10 and the W30 went on sale for the first time on Amazon, LG India confirmed that both the devices were completely sold out. The company, however, did not reveal the number of units they had in their inventory. LG also revealed that the next flash sale for these handsets would be held on July 10.

LG W10, W30: Specifications, price, launch offers

The LG W10 is the most affordable handset in the W-Series and is priced just under the INR 9,000 mark. This device is sold in a single variant that comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The W10 gets a 6.19-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution. The full view display covers almost the entire front fascia of the handset. There is a small notch at the top to house the 8MP front-facing camera. The main camera setup on the W10 includes a 13MP primary sensor mated to a 5MP depth sensor. The W10 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC that houses an octa-core CPU and the PowerVR GE8320 GPU for graphics. The device packs a 4000mAh battery as well. The W10 comes in Tulip Purple and Smoky Gray color options.

As for the LG W30, this device is positioned above the W10 and gets a slightly larger 6.26-inch full view display with HD+ resolution. This handset is also powered by the same MediaTek Helio P22 chipset that is used on the W10. On the imaging front, the W10 gets a triple camera setup at the rear consisting of a 12MP primary camera, a 13MP secondary wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front facing camera uses a 16MP sensor. Like its sibling, the W30 also gets a 4,000 mAh battery. The device also gets a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports face unlock as well.

Both these devices come with INR 4,950 worth cashback offers from Jio. The next sale is scheduled for July 10.
