On Wednesday, ZEE5 posted the thriller’s trailer to its YouTube channel. The ZEE5 debut of Lost is scheduled for February 16. Both her fans and critics praised Yami Gautam for her outstanding acting in Thursday. Yami has returned with even another thriller following the popularity of the last outing. This time, the actor is portraying a tenacious criminal reporter who won’t hold back in her pursuit of the truth. The trailer depicts a conflict between what is right and what is the absolute truth; it also exemplifies a greater quest and a look for the qualities of empathy and integrity that have been forgotten. Yami termed the movie to be an ode to many journalists who go to great lengths in search of the truth while also walking that fine line that threads the very integrity of the media and humanity.

Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury is the director of the movie, which stars Yami Gautam Dhar, Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna, Neil Bhoopalam, Tushar Pandey, and Pia Bajpiee in significant roles.

In the more than a minute long trailer, Yami portrays a crime reporter searching for the truth behind the mysterious disappearance of a teenage theatre activist named Ishan Bharti, played by Tushar Pandey. Yami portrays Riddhi Sahani, a vicious crime reporter in the movie, who is always looking for the truth. The trailer opens with a disclaimer stating that 665 persons go missing each year in India. According to the National Crime Records Bureau’s 2019 report, someone goes missing every two minutes. Then Yami poses the query: For a reporter, which is more crucial: telling the truth or acting morally? The scene in the teaser next shows a distressed woman filing a report for her missing sibling. Many stories are intertwined, whether it be a love tale or whether Ishaan was a member of an extremist organisation. Lost follows Yami’s search for the truth as she conducts her own research and encounters strong individuals. The movie is reportedly based on real incidents.

The trailer for the upcoming movie was released following the film’s tremendous reception at the 53rd International Film Festival of India, the Atlanta Indian Film Festival, and the Chicago South Asian Film Festival in 2022.
