However, the rumour mill has churned out some more details of the upcoming MacBook Pro models. The latest development from tipster Dylan reveals many new details of the upcoming Pro MacBooks. Let’s take a look at the Apple M1X MacBook Pro leaked specs, features and other details revealed ahead of the launch.

MacBook Pro M1X specs leaked

Apple is likely to debut the MacBook Pro M1X at the Unleashed Apple event. Ahead of the launch,  the detailed spec sheet has leaked online. Tipster Dylan, who has a fairly accurate past when it comes to Apple leaks, has corroborated with previous leaks confirming the launch of mini LED displays on the Pro MacBooks. The company will launch the laptop in two screen sizes – 14” and 16”. Dylan further states that there is no confirmation on the inclusion of the 120Hz refresh rate support on the Pro models. The company had tested the high refresh rate display on its prototype version earlier this year.

The bezels around the display are said to get narrower, resulting in more screen estate while having almost the same form factor. Unlike previous MacBook Pros, the new M1X machines will not have the logo at the bottom bezel of the display.  At the top bezel, the company is also said to upgrade the webcam to 1080p.

In terms of performance, both machines will come with 16GB of RAM as standard. Apple will also upgrade the base storage to 512GB on the Pro models. Additionally, there will be a new charging brick. It is unknown if this brick will be similar to the iMac brick, which comes with an Ethernet port in it.

As mentioned earlier, the new Pro MacBooks will have a faster M1X chip. The 10-core CPU chip is said to come in two versions. The base variant will have a 16-core GPU, whereas the higher-end version will have a 32-core GPU. Apple is also said to include more slots this time around. There will be an SD card slot, an HDMI port and USB Type-C ports. The company is likely to remove the touch bar and switch back to traditional Function keys as per the leak.

More details of the MacBook Pro models will be revealed on October 18 at the Apple event.
