Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is arguably the biggest game release of this year and we finally have a release window for it. During Summer Game Fest 2023, game director Bryan Intihar joined the stage to give exciting news and provide insight into the upcoming game. Developed by Insomniac Games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to be released exclusively for PlayStation 5 on October 20.
Sony has confirmed that pre-orders for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 would be available on 16 June 2023, at all participating retailers including the PlayStation Store. Preorders for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 go live on PlayStation Direct and PSN at 10 AM (local time) that day. The game should also be available for pre-order at major retailers shortly after that.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PreOrders Set to Start from 16 June
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available in multiple editions, including a Collector’s Edition with a massive Venom statue. You can also obtain pre-order bonuses if you make an early purchase. In Spider-Man 2, you can take on the roles of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. You control both Spider-Men at different points of the campaign, but in the open world, you can switch nearly instantly between them as you explore Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. According to Insomniac, each Spider-Man has his or her own story and mission in the universe.
Confirmed villains include the aforementioned Venom, Lizard, and Kraven. If you pre-order any edition, you will receive early access to Peter’s Arachknight Suit with three more colour versions, Miles’ Shadow Spider Suit with three additional colour variants, early access to the Web Grabber gadget, and three skill points.

The standard version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will cost $70 and will be available for preorder in both physical and digital forms. As mentioned earlier, players will get free access to Arachknight Suit for Peter and 3 colour variants, Shadow Spider Suit for Miles and 3 colour variants, Web Grabber gadget & 3 skill points.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Digital Deluxe Edition
The digital deluxe version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 costs $79.99 and includes the two early-unlock outfits that are included with all preorders, as well as “10 unique suits (5 for Peter, 5 for Miles), additional Photo Mode frames and stickers, and 2 additional skill points.”
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition
The collector’s edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 costs $229.99 and “includes a voucher for the Digital Deluxe Edition,” as well as all of the features that come with it, a Steelbook case, and “an extraordinary, high-quality 19-inch statue featuring our Spider-Men battling fan-favourite Venom.” The Collector’s Edition will be available exclusively on PlayStation Direct starting at 10 AM. “local time” on 16 June. It is unknown whether it will be available at major retailers in the future.
According to Insomniac Games, the sequel gets better visuals, faster web-swinging, PS5 3D Audio, and instant character switching between the Spider-Men—Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
