After multiple leaks and speculations, Meizu has finally unveiled the 16T in China. As per the official page, the Meizu 16T is a high-end smartphone where the T stands for Terrific, Talent, Turbo, Tank, and Thin. The handset doesn’t rely on a notch or punch-hole display to achieve a high screen-to-body ratio. Instead, the Chinese company has trimmed down the conventional bezels. The selfie camera is placed on the right-hand side. Like most modern phones, the Meizu 16T features a reflective back with a gradient paint job. The phone has a protrusion around the camera assembly. The fingerprint sensor has been integrated into the display. The handset is 8.3 mm thin and tips the scales at 183 grams.

The Meizu 16T sport a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display. The Full HD+ screen has an aspect ratio of 18.6:9. The display delivers inky blacks and vibrant colors compared to an LCD screen. Moreover, it has a peak brightness of 600 nits. The panel is certified by the German organization TUV (Technischer Überwachungsverein) for eye comfort. It cuts down on the blue light known to be harmful to the eyes. Meizu has gone all out in terms of processing muscle as the phone is equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 855 chipset. The device will come in 6 GB and 8 GB RAM options. You will get to choose between 128 GB and 256 GB UFS 3.0 storage.
The Meizu 16T comes with the triple camera setup. It comprises of a 12 MP primary sensor along with an 8 MP wide lens and a 5 MP depth sensor. For selfies, you get a 16 MP front-facing snapper. All these modules are backed by Meizu’s machine learning algorithm.
The Meizu 16T is likely to pack in 4,500 mAH battery with 18 W fast charging technology. The phone will come with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a USB Type C connector, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. On the software front, you will get Android 9 Pie with Flyme OS 8 on top. The latest version of Meizu’s customization comes with a game mode to keep the distractions at bay when playing Call of Duty Mobile.
Meizu 16T Price And Availability
The Meizu 16T comes in red, green, and blue. The base model of the phone with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage is priced at 1,999 yuan, which roughly translates to Rs 20,000. For 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, you have to part with 2,299 yuan (Approx. Rs 23,000). Finally, the top-variant packed with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB internal storage, is pegged at 2,499 yuan (Approx. Rs 25,000). The handset is up for pre-order starting today and will begin shipping on October 28. Meizu has plans to release the 16T in India via Amazon.
