Meizu was recently rumored to be working on a new smartphone carrying the model number M926Q with a Snapdragon 712 chipset under the hood. The Meizu M926Q has now been spotted on the TENAA database, suggesting it could debut in China before the end of the month. It is expected to be launched as the Meizu 16Xs and will take on the Mi 9 SE from Xiaomi.

Meizu 16Xs Will Feature Triple Rear Cameras

The images published by TENAA reveal the Meizu 16Xs will have a similar notchless screen as the Meizu 16s. However, this means the Meizu 16Xs will have a slightly thicker top bezel when compared to many of its rivals. Since TENAA has not listed any specifications of the smartphone on its website yet, there is no information on the screen size or resolution. Its predecessor, the Meizu 16X comes with a 6-inch AMOLED display panel featuring Full HD+ resolution and a highly impressive 90.62% screen-to-body ratio.

On the back of the phone, we see a vertically-stacked triple camera array. The upcoming smartphone will likely have a 48MP primary sensor, although it is yet to be confirmed. We do not see any fingerprint sensor at the rear, which seems to suggest the Meizu 16Xs will have an In-display fingerprint sensor instead. As mentioned earlier, the Meizu 16Xs is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 712 octa-core processor. The new Snapdragon 712 is built on the same 10nm process as the Snapdragon 710 but is claimed to deliver a 10% increase in performance. Rumors suggest the mid-range smartphone will be available in two variants in China: 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. As for pricing, the Meizu 16Xs might be priced somewhere around CNY 2,500 (INR 25,400 approx.). More details regarding the hardware specifications of the Meizu 16Xs will surface online once TENAA updates the listing on its website.
