Fans of DC comics have another reason to cheer. An anime series featuring Batman is all set to premiere on OTT world. Merry Little Batman will launch on Amazon’s Prime Video on December 8 across 240 countries and territories, according to the streaming giant’s announcement.

Once again, changes in strategy at the streaming service have found Prime Video to be the winner of content that was initially intended to be an exclusive on Max. On Wednesday night, the streaming service announced the premiere date and the initial poster for the Mike Roth-directed movie on the microblogging platform X. The poster released for Merry Little Batman shows Damian as “Little Batman” jogging alongside his father and mentor.

For the uninitiated, Andy Kubert and Grant Morrison came up with Damian Wayne. Damian is the son of Batman/Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul, making Ra’s al Ghul his grandfather. Damian was first introduced to DC’s main canon in 2006’s Batman #655. After Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, and Stephanie Brown, he is the fifth person to play Robin.
