The preparations for the launch of new S5 Pro from Lenovo are in full swing. The company is not only teasing the smartphone specifications ahead of the launch but also intimating the fellow smartphone makers in the process. Lenovo recently mocked the Xiaomi’s Mi 8 Lite for its ‘lossless optical zoom’. And now, it is taking a dig at Honor 8X. Lenovo Vice President, Chang Cheng has shared posters mentioning the S5 Pro’s camera functionalities in detail and has compared it with Honor 8X.

Emphasizing on the Ability to Shoot at Night
In the shared posters, Lenovo Vice President has foregrounded the camera abilities of the upcoming Lenovo S5 Pro, highlighting its ability to shoot detailed images at night. Lenovo S5 Pro features a 20MP + 12MP dual-camera setup at the back with improved night shots. With the upcoming Lenovo S5 Pro rear snappers, users will be able to get detail-rich images, even in poor lighting conditions. To recall, the Honor 8X sports a 20MP+2MP dual-camera set up with no documented abilities to shoot better at night.

Lenovo S5 Pro to Launch on October 18
A teaser posted revealed that Lenovo S5 Pro will be launching on October 18. As per the certification platform, TEENA listing, the Lenovo S5 Pro is expected to feature a tall 6.18-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2246 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. For storing apps and data, there would be three memory configurations: 3GB RAM + 32GB onboard storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB onboard storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The smartphone will also come with the option to expand the memory further, using a microSD card.
Now, in the imaging department, we know that the Lenovo S5 Pro is confirmed to feature a 20MP + 12MP dual-camera setup. And, missing the mid-range Xiaomi smartphone has also confirmed that it will offer 2x optical zoom as well. This feature is not common to the mid-range smartphones. On the front, the smartphone is expected to feature an 8MP camera for selfies.
On the connectivity front, the Lenovo S5 Pro is expected to support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and 4G VoLTE. The device is likely to sport a 3500mAh capacity battery. The TEENA listing also mentions that Lenovo S5 Pro will be offered in five color variants: Black, Gold, Red, Silver, and White. The device measures 154.5×75.45×7.7mm weighing in at 160 grams.
