Xiaomi has revealed that it will be holding its annual Smarter Living event in India on September 29. The company is expected to launch a range of IoT products at the event and one of the devices will be Mi Band 5. A teaser image on Amazon has confirmed that the brand will introduce its latest fitness band in the country. The Mi Band 5 was introduced in China in June this year and comes loaded with colour display. Furthermore, Xiaomi might also launch other products for the Indian market including a smartwatch and a smart bulb.

Amazon has posted a teaser page for the upcoming Mi Band 5. The teasers reveal that the fitness band will launch on September 29. The event will kickstart at 12:00 PM. The landing page has teased some features of the upcoming Mi Band 5. This includes a bigger brighter display, fast charging support, long-lasting battery life, personal health assistant, new Yoga mode, and 4 sports modes.

Mi Watch Revolve, Smart Bulb and more expected

Apart from the Mi Band 5, Xiaomi might also unveil its first smartwatch for the Indian market. The company might launch Mi Watch Revolve, which is a rebranded version of the Mi Watch Color. The company may also launch a new smart bulb along with other IoT products like air purifier, smart speakers, smart shoes and more. However, we should get to know the details in the coming days.

Mi Band 5 specifications

Coming to the Mi Band 5, it is available in Black, Blue, Green, Pink, Purple, Orange and Yellow strap options. The smart band comes with a 1.1-inch colour AMOLED display with a resolution of 126 x 294 pixels. The fitness band supports over 100 animated watch faces, though it is not known which will hit Indian shores. The wearable comes with 11 sports modes and the brand has also already confirmed that it will add 4 new sports mode and a dedicated Yoga mode with Mi Band 5.

Moving on, the fitness band features a PPG sensor for heart-rate monitoring and supports sleep monitoring as well. The device comes with a dedicated health mode that helps women to track their menstrual cycle. It also comes with PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) and has a remote shutter button for taking photos from a smartphone. It comes with a 125mAh battery that delivers up to 14 days of battery backup on a single charge.
