Xiaomi Mi Max 3, Mi Note 3 MIUI 10 Update: What’s New?

According to the report by Xiaomi Today, the latest MIUI 10 update for the Mi Max 3, and the Mi Note 3, is version 8.9.20. This update mainly brings one new feature, which is, support for eSIM. This is a very useful feature, as it enables users to add a new cellular connection without having to use a physical SIM card. You just enable it in the settings, get a new cellular connection, and the carrier will simply activate it via software.

Once activated, you can use the new connection without actually having the carrier SIM on your device. An eSIM allows you to program several connections on to your device. As of now, both these devices get this functionality. However, you cannot use the eSIM feature if you are already using two physical SIM cards.

Apart from the new eSIM feature, the update also adds the ability to send an SOS message to an emergency contact, by pressing the Power button thrice. Several bugs have also been fixed, which makes the OS faster and more stable.
