Mi TV Patchwall 3.4 Update with Live TV, Redesigned Carousel, and More Features Starts Rolling Out to Users

Patchwall 3.4 with carousel design, user center, and Live channels is now rolling out to Mi TVs in India.

Xiaomi’s forayed into the smart TV segment a couple of years back. Xiaomi’s Android range of TVs run Patchwall interface along with the Android TV. Patchwall takes a content-first approach and is designed specifically for the Indian market. Xiaomi has collaborated with more than 23 content partners to bring a plethora of content on the Patchwall. The company announced the third iteration of the Patchwall back in May. Now, Xiaomi has announced Patchwall 3.4 for Mi TVs in India. The new iteration of Patchwall offers a new carousel design and a new user center. Xiaomi is also bringing Live TV channels to the Mi TVs with Patchwall 3.4 update. Mi TV category head, Eshwar took it to Twitter to announce the development,

Immersive Carousel

Patchwall 3.4 update brings a redesigned carouse that makes the posters look much more beautiful compared to the earlier versions. Users can also browse through a list of recommendations of similar content in tune with the current content they are watching on the carousel.

User Centre

Patchwall 3.4 also brings a new dedicated user center that acts as a personal hub. The user center in Patchwall 3.4 will act as a hub for features such as ‘My Watchlist’. My Watchlist feature will let you watch all your favorite content across apps and discover it via the user center page. It will also allow you to continue playing your last watched content and easy navigation to your wishlist or your subscribed OTT platforms. The personal hub will also showcase trending and upcoming content.


Live TV

With Patchwall 3.4, Xiaomi is also extending the list of live TV service providers. Users can now enjoy live content from Hungama, ABP, Republic TV, EpicOn, Hoichoi, and SunNXT. Patchwall 3.4 will also offer regional live channels such as SunNXT umbrella with Gemini, Surya, Udaya, Sun, and KTV. The live content has been categorized under seven sections on the cive channels. These seven categories are News, Music, Free to Watch, Watch in HD, Comedy Anytime, and Explore More.
