Micromax has confirmed the launch date of its new smartphone series “IN” in India. The company will be launching its new Made in India smartphones under the “IN” brandINg on November 3. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Micromax IN launch event will be held virtually. The company is expected to launch two new smartphones, namely Micromax IN 1, and Micromax IN 1a. Specifications and details of the two smartphones were previously leaked.
Micromax IN 1 and IN 1a specifications
Micromax IN 1a made a visit to Geekbench listings last week, revealing some key specifications. The smartphone will get powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor with base frequency 2.30GHz. The smartphone managed to score 903 and 4326 IN Geekbench 4’s single-core and multi-core testing.
Micromax IN 1a will pack 4GB RAM and run on Android 10 out-of-the-box. Rahul Sharma, co-founder of Micromax has also confirmed that the user interface will be bloatware-free and there will be no ads on the phone as well.
Camera-wise, Micromax IN 1a will sport a triple-camera setup with a 13MP primary lens, a 5MP secondary camera along with third 2MP camera. For selfies, the smartphone will have a 13MP front camera.
According to The Mobile Indian, Micromax IN 1 will get powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core processor, paired with 2GB RAM. The smartphone will have a dual-camera setup at the back with a 13MP primary camera and 2MP secondary camera. There will also be an 8MP front camera
Both devices will sport a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD and pack a 5,000 mAh battery.
Micromax IN 1a and In 1 price in India
While the prices of both smartphones will be unveiled at the event, it is expected that the Micromax IN 1a and In 1 price in India will be between Rs 7,000 and Rs 15,000.
