The Micromax AirFunk 1 and 1 Pro true wireless earbuds are here. The TWS earbuds were teased yesterday by company co-founder Rahul Sharma, and have both been launched in the budget segment. The two earbuds offer interesting feature sets that are different from each other, and will rival budget earbuds such as the Realme Buds Q2 and others in the budget segment. Both the earbuds will sell via Flipkart, and are available in multiple colour variants as well.
Micromax AirFunk 1 Pro
Starting with the Pro variant, the Micromax AirFunk 1 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm QCC 3040 chipset, which enables Clear Voice Capture 8.0 (CVC 8.0) audio enhancement. This brings ambient noise cancellation when listening through the earbuds, and echo cancellation for when you are making calls. The AirFunk 1 Pro offers 25dB noise cancellation, which is shallower than the already shallow 35dB noise cancellation on offer in budget earbuds. Apart from this, it is powered by 13mm dynamic drivers, and voice call abilities are taken care of by a quad mic array.
Connectivity is operated by Bluetooth 5.2, while the charging case gets a USB-C charging port. It also has IP44 durability rating, along with touch controls on the earbuds. The buds themselves have a stalk in their design, and come with a round charging case design. Total playback time is rated for 7 hours on earbuds only, and a total of 32 hours with the charging case included. The AirFunk 1 Pro costs Rs 2,499, and are available in blue, white, black, yellow and red colour options. It’ll retail via Flipkart from August 18.
AirFunk 1
The standard variant, meanwhile, costs Rs 1,299, and are therefore one of the most affordable pair of true wireless earbuds in the market. In terms of the feature set, the Micromax AirFunk 1 offer 9mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.0, and are certified for offering ‘3D stereo surround sound’. You get a standard earbud design minus the stalk, and battery life is rated for five hours playback on earbud charge, and 15 hours of playback with the charging case. This one too gets a USB-C port, and comes with IP44 durability rating against splashes and dust.
The one unique feature here is the ability to change your voice between male or female in between calls, as a fun gimmick of sorts to woo users. It also comes with a flat charging case design, and are available in five colour variants — blue, yellow, purple, white and black/red.
