Micromax was the only Indian smartphone brand that challenged big brands like Samsung when it was at its peak. The Indian company was once the No. 1 smartphone brand in the country, and garnered a good response with entry and budget-centric smartphones.

However, it witnessed a steep decline when the Chinese brands entered the smartphone market. The last Micromax smartphone was launched in 2018 and since then, the company was silent. Now, almost two years later, the company is back once again. Micromax founder Rahul Sharma has teased a new sub-brand in India. Here’s everything you need to know.

Micromax teases new ‘In’ brand

Micromax has announced that it will be bringing a sub-brand in India pretty soon, known as ‘In’. The company made this announcement on its official Twitter handle. The company tweeted a video that features Rahul Sharma. The tweet reads, “We’re #INForIndia with #INMobiles! What about you? #IndiaKeLiye #BigAnnouncement #MicromaxIsBack #AatmanirbharBharat”

In the video, we can see Sharma talks about the brand journey and he admitted that Chinese smartphones have defeated the company. He went on to say that with the recent Indo-China broader tension, Indians went asking the company to come up with smartphones. He further added that he has listened to his fellow Indians and will soon introduce ‘In’ sub-brand that will promote Made in India products.
