Micromax is all set to make a comeback in India, with its launch of ‘IN’ series smartphones on November 3. Now, ahead of its official launch, a YouTube video with Micromax founder Rahul Sharma has given a key sneak peek into what the Micromax IN 1A series smartphones will come with. The first look video has showed two key colours of the Micromax IN 1A smartphones – green and white, and a few key specifications have been teased as well. Going by the specifications, the Micromax IN 1A smartphones appear to be squarely competitive in the sub-Rs 15,000 price segment.
Micromax IN 1A expected specifications
The Micromax IN 1A shown in the video appears to come in two variants, which in turn appear to have two colour variants – white and a blue-green shade. According to Micromax’s Sharma, the finish of the smartphone also appears to come with an X pattern on the rear – something that appears to be in line with other budget smartphone offerings such as the Realme Narzo 20 Pro.

The Micromax IN 1A smartphones are also said to come with 48MP quad rear cameras, although the exact configuration of the quad camera module was not revealed. Along with this, the front camera of the smartphones is seen to be a centrally located punch-hole one, which is an interesting upgrade from the water drop notch that budget smartphone front cameras come with. To the rear, both the variants appear to feature physical fingerprint scanners.
As for the processors powering the Micromax IN smartphones, the video suggests that the Micromax IN 1A smartphones will have MediaTek chipsets powering both the devices. While the first variant is said to feature the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, the more powerful variant will seemingly come with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. RAM and storage variants have not been revealed yet, but given market trends, it may be safe to expect at least 4GB RAM and 128GB of native storage on the Micromax IN 1A smartphones.
Other specifications remain under wraps, for now. Earlier today, Micromax also tweeted a teaser for its smartphone’s display, which appears to have a fairly standard layout with a thick chin bezel at the bottom. From the teaser, it so appears that the left edge of the phone features the SIM tray, as well as a single button. While it is likely that this is the power button of the phone, it would be unusual to see the power button placed to the left edge.
All speculations will be put to rest on November 3, when Micromax unveils its comeback phones in India.
