Micromax In series smartphones confirmed to feature MediaTek Helio G85 and G35 processors

Micromax is all set to make a comeback in the Indian market with IN 1 and IN 1a next week.

Micromax is all set to make its comeback in the Indian market after a long gap. The company is making a return with the all-new IN series, which is officially confirmed to debut on 3rd November. Now, a week ahead of the launch, Micromax has started posting teasers on social media channels. With the very first poster, Micromax has sort-of confirmed the rumors that the upcoming IN series devices will be powered by MediaTek Helio processors. To those unaware, a report had suggested that the upcoming devices under the IN series will be powered by MediaTek Helio G35 and Helio G85.

The upcoming IN 1a had earlier appeared on the Geekbench database revealing the presence of an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85. This is the same processor that powers Redmi Note 9, and Realme Narzo 20. While the IN 1 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. This is an entry-level processor that we have already seen on devices like Redmi 9, Realme C15, and more.

Micromax IN 1a and In 1: Price in India

The devices under the IN series are expected to be priced between Rs, 7,000 and 15,000 in India. But we will have to wait until next week to know the official pricing of smartphones.

Micromax IN 1 and IN 1a: Specifications 

The upcoming IN 1a and IN 1 will pack a large 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display. Micromax IN 1 will pack 2GB RAM, while the IN 1a will have 4GB RAM. These devices will offer a clean and stock Android experience without any ads or bloatware, as confirmed by Co-founder Rahul Sharma. In the optics department, IN 1a will offer a 13MP triple-rear camera setup. While the IN 1 will come with a 13MP dual-rear camera setup.

Micromax IN 1a will pack a 13MP primary lens, a 5MP secondary camera, and a 2MP camera. On the front, IN 1a will pack a 13MP selfie shooter. IN 1 will sport a 13MP primary camera along with a 2MP secondary camera. For the selfies, it will offer an 8MP front shooter. These devices are said to pack a 5,000mAh battery under-the-hood.
