Micromax made a big comeback in India by launching the In-series smartphones, the Micromax In Note 1, and the In 1b smartphones last year. The company promised guaranteed software updates for 2 years and security updates for 3 years to these handsets. Yesterday at the second “Let’s Talk INdia Ke Liye Q&A video session”, Micromax Co-founder Rahul Sharma confirmed new software update timeframes for the In Note 1, along with revealing plans for a Micromax 5G smartphone, and TWS Earbuds in the near future.
Micromax In Note 1, In 1b Smartphone Update Details
Speaking at the second “Let’s Talk INdia Ke Liye Q&A video session”, Micromax Co-founder Rahul Sharma revealed that the In Note 1 will receive Android 11 update in April. He further mentioned that Micromax will roll out Android 11 early access soon as well on Micromax Forums. Along with these key details, he also disclosed that Micromax will release source code and bootloader for both Micromax In Note 1 and Micromax In 1b on the company’s official forum. Micromax In 1b will also get a new software update this month that will bring in camera improvements, slow-motion video recording, January 2021 Android security patch, and performance enhancements, he mentioned.
