Micromax In series design officially teased ahead of India launch on November 3

Micromax will make a comeback in the Indian smartphone market with the launch of “IN” smartphones in India. The company is rumoured to launch two new smartphones at the Micromax IN series launch event on November 3, namely the Micromax IN 1 and Micromax IN 1a. Ahead of the launch, Micromax has given us the first look at the design. The Micromax IN 1 and IN 1a will sport an “X” shaped pattern on the back. The company has previously teased a couple of other internals that will be packed inside the Micromax IN 1 and IN 1a.

The teaser video uploaded on Twitter by Micromax India shows the rear panel’s design. The rear panel will have a glossy look with an X-shaped pattern. The “IN” branding can be seen at the bottom of the rear panel. We are not sure if both smartphones will carry the same design. The rear panel is likely to be made of plastic considering both devices will be priced in the budget segment.

The company recently confirmed that the Micromax IN series will feature a MediaTek Helio G35 and MediaTek Helio G85 processor, under the hood. Although it did not explicitly mention which phones will pack the two processors, the rumour mill has previously churned out enough information for us to know.

Micromax IN 1 and IN 1a price in India 

Micromax IN 1 and Micromax IN 1a prices will be unveiled at the launch event on November 3. The two smartphones are expected to be priced between Rs 7,000 and Rs 15,000.

Micromax IN 1 and IN 1a specifications 

Both devices will sport a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display and come with stock Android out of the box.

The smartphones are also said to pack a 5,000 mAh battery under the hood.

Micromax In 1 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. This is an entry-level processor that we have already seen on devices like Redmi 9, Realme C15, and more. The processor will be paired with 2GB RAM.

In terms of optics, Micromax IN 1 will come with a 13MP + 2MP  dual-rear camera setup.

For selfies, there will be an 8MP front camera.

Micromax IN 1a, on the other hand, will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85. This is the same processor that powers Redmi Note 9, and Realme Narzo 20. The processor will be paired with 4GB RAM. 

There will be a triple-camera setup at the back, featuring a 13MP primary lens, a 5MP secondary camera, and a 2MP camera. For selfies, IN 1a is said to feature a 13MP front camera.
