Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio With PixelSense Flow Display, RTX 3050Ti Launched: Price, Specifications

At the Surface event, Microsoft has unveiled its most powerful laptop ever. The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio is a new convertible laptop, which according to the company is an evolution of the Surface Book. It is a complete redesign over the outgoing Surface Book line of laptops launched previously. Unlike previous models, where the display was removable, the new Studio laptop has a screen that can be pulled forward to turn the device into a tablet. Microsoft calls this the Studio Mode.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio has a large 14.4-inch PixelSense Display, which supports a 120Hz refresh rate and comes with Dolby Vision. The laptop comes with a “Dynamic Woven Hinge” that allows it to transition from one mode to another seamlessly.

It has three different modes – Laptop, Stage and Studio. As the name suggests, the Laptop mode will allow users to use the Surface Laptop Studio like a normal laptop. In Stage Mode, the screen can be pulled forward to a certain angle for gaming, streaming, docking, or presenting to clients. In this particular mode, the keyboard gets completely covered, leaving only the trackpad to be visible.

Lastly, there is the Studio mode. This mode is particularly useful for those who want a clean canvas for writing, sketching or for other creative pursuits. To make things easier for such users, the Surface Laptop Studio also comes with support for a Surface Slim Pen 2 that can be magnetically stored underneath the keyboard.

Under the hood, the Laptop Studio comes with 11th-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. The Core i5 model is paired with Intel Iris Xe graphics, whereas the i7 model has the Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPU and 4GB of VRAM. Users can pick between 16GB/ 32GB RAM options along with up to 2TB of SSD storage.

The laptop also comes with two USB 4 ports with Thunderbolt 4, Surface Connect charging port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, etc. As for the price, the Surface Laptop Studio starts at $1,599.99 (roughly Rs 1,18,100). There is no word on the India pricing and availability details at the moment.
