Microsoft has today launched the Surface Pro X with Wi-Fi in India. It is an update to the 2020 Surface Pro X, and this one runs Windows 11 out of the box and according to Microsoft, it’s the thinnest and the most affordable 13-inch Surface device right now.

Surface Pro X Price and Availability

The new Surface Pro X starts at Rs 93,999 for the model with SQ1 processor, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The same model intended for business is priced at Rs 94,599. However, there are other options as well. The pricing for those is listed in the table below. The new Surface Pro X will be available for purchase via commercial authorized resellers, Reliance Digital stores and Reliance Digital e-Store as well. The Surface Pro Keyboard and Signature Type Cover are sold separately.

Specifications and Features

The Surface Pro X was announced back in September 2021. It has made its way to India with the Wi-Fi connectivity option. As mentioned earlier, it runs on Windows 11 out of the box with 64-bit emulation built-in. It features a 13-inch PixelSense touch display with a resolution of 2880×1920 pixels. It is powered by an SQ1 or SQ2 octa-core processor, developed by Microsoft in collaboration with Qualcomm. The Surface Pro X can have up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. However, the base variant has 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

Surface Pro X is built for professionals with apps like Microsoft Teams, Office, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, optimised for ARM. It comes with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera capable of recording videos in full HD resolution. Microsoft has sprinkled some AI-based features over the Surface Pro X, which uses the onboard neural engine, while its Eye Contact feature helps users adjust their gaze on video calls.

There are dual far-field Studio Mics and stereo speakers with Dolby Audio. There are essential I/O options, including two USB-C ports and a dedicated magnetic Surflink with an extra USB-A. Microsoft has claimed that it can offer up to 15 hours of battery life on a single charge.
