It seems Microsoft is mulling to launch a new Surface laptop which is said to be an affordable laptop. In the latest report of Windows Central, the device surfaced on the web codenamed Sparti. The upcoming laptop is expected to sport a 12.5-inch display and will be powered by 10th-generation Intel Core i5 chipset. The report also suggests that it could be an entry-level laptop that is going to placed between the Surface Go and tablet and the Surface Pro laptop. Besides, the company is also said to launch few more Surface products and accessories.
Microsoft Sparti Expected Price
As per the report, the forthcoming Sparti Surface laptop is expected to be launch between USD 500 and USD 600 (approx INR 36,840 and INR 44,200). Citing the sources the report claimed that the company is planning to launch the entry-level Surface laptop in October. However, the company is yet to announce anything officially, we recommend you to take it with a pinch of salt.
Microsoft Sparti Expected Specifications and Features
As for the specifications, the report further added that the Sparti laptop will launch with a 1.25-inch display with a clamshell design. Under the hood, the device is expected to be powered by the 10th-generation Intel Core i5 processor. It’s said to be backed by a 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage, which sounds weird because it’s very less for a laptop.
On the software part, the laptop is tipped to ship with Windows 10 in S Mode. The S mode will allow users to browse web-only from Microsoft Edge and download apps only from the Microsoft Store. Citing the sources who got the experience of the engineering prototypes of the Sparti report claims that it’s a typical Surface product, which intended to mean that the company has not compromised on the quality of the product for making it affordable.

Apart from Sparti, Microsoft is also said to be working on different products. Popular tipster WalkingCat (@h0x0d) also posted the codenames of the products. The codenames include Arcata, Carina, California, Cayucos, Daedalus, Emporia, Hercules, Lucca, Olympus, Orpheus, and Zeus. So we can expect an array of devices launching by the end of this year.
