Xiaomi unveiled the latest iteration of its custom Android skin dubbed MIUI a little while ago. So far, most of the smartphones by the company have got the latest MIUI 11 update. Now, a new update for MIUI 11 is reported to be right around the corner which will bring three new features to the roster. The build is currently under internal testing and once all the bugs are fixed, we would be getting an official rollout.
Let’s have a look at the upcoming features of MIUI 11.
MIUI 11 to get three new features soon
1. Focus mode
Digital Wellbeing is one of the trending features in Android lately. MIUI 11, as such, has focused a lot on providing the users with features that ensure a healthy lifestyle. Joining that list will be a new Focus Mode. Using focus mode, users will be able to restrict themselves to make just the emergency calls and use some camera functions (like taking a quick shot). The timings for Focus Mode can be set as per user preference, ranging from 20 minutes all the way up to 90 minutes.
The Focus Mode comes with a bunch of interactive animations and it also logs your data and progress so that you can get motivated to use it more often.
In order to make use of the Focus Mode, one would have to go to Settings > Screen Time Management and enable the mode from there.
2. Vientiane screen custom image
MIUI 11 brought about the dynamic lock screen feature that has so far received a lot of appreciation from the users. Now, the company aims to take it a notch further. After the upcoming update, users will be able to add custom images as the screen pattern. Moreover, the update will also bring about emoji support for the same (which is currently in beta).
3. Class schedule
The third feature that will be rolled out with the upcoming MIUI 11 update will benefit the students a lot. The feature (dubbed Class Schedule) will integrate Xiaomi’s Mi Calendar and its in-house virtual assistant dubbed Xiao Ai to keep a track of one’s classes and time table. The user can set the schedule for 1 week, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks.
These are the three upcoming features that will be rolled out with a future update for the MIUI 11. As of now, there is no word as to when we will get the official update, but we are likely going to receive more intel on the same in the coming days.
Coming to MIUI 11, the company has rolled out the latest update to almost all its devices like the Redmi K20, Poco F1, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Y3, Redmi 7, and Redmi Note 7S.
