Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A start getting MIUI 11 stable update in India
The MIUI 11 update for the Redmi 6 comes with the build number 11.0.1.0, while the one for the Redmi 6A has the build number 11.0.4.0. Both of them are global stable updates, by the way. Both the devices were launched in the month of June 2018, so it is good to see the company rolling out the updates to these devices. That, however, is nothing new as Xiaomi has always been pretty aggressive when it comes to rolling out its latest updates even to the more budget-oriented lineup of devices.
The latest update brings with it the new features like Mi Share, game speed booster, and a design overhaul. Here are some of the important features of MIUI 11:

Note that the update is rolling out in stages, so it might take a little while to reach your device. Still, you can check for the update by tapping on your device’s settings menu and tapping on the Check for update(s) section. If in case the update has indeed arrived, you can get it from there. Furthermore, it is always advisable to backup your data before updating your device.
As for the specifications of the devices, the Redmi 6 features a 5.45-inch FHD display with a standard 18:9 aspect ratio. We get a MediaTek Helio P22 processor powering the device which is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. For photography, the Redmi 6 comes with a dual-camera setup at the back (12MP + 5MP) and a 5MP front camera that has AI capabilities.
The Redmi 6A, on the other hand, makes use of a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device has a 5.45-inch HD display with 720 x 1440 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. We get a single 13MP primary camera at the back and a 5MP selfie snapper at the front with the Redmi 6A. As far as the battery is concerned, the Redmi 6A comes packed with a 3,000mAh battery.
