MIUI 12.5 Beta Registrations Opens up for 21 Xiaomi and Redmi Smartphones Ahead of Official Launch

MIUI 12.5 is expected to be launched alongside Mi 11 later today.

MIUI 12.5 Beta

Xiaomi, earlier this month, officially announced that MIUI 12.5 is in the works and the company is preparing for its release. The company will launch its latest flagship – Mi 11 later today. MIUI 12.5 is also expected to launch alongside Mi 11 in the same event. Now, ahead of the launch, Xiaomi has officially opened up MIUI 12.5 beta registrations for various smartphones. The list includes Mi 10, Mi 10T Pro, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, Redmi K30 (POCO X2), Redmi 10X 4G (Redmi Note 9), Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7, and more. Xiaomi is expected to introduce a new power menu and a redesigned volume panel with MIUI 12.5.

Some devices such as Redmi K20 Pro, Mi 9, and Mi 9 SE should get Android 11 along with MIUI 12.5 beta, as the company had suspended beta update after 20.12.9 for these devices in favor of Android version upgrade.

Several other devices such as the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom, Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi CC9 Pro (Mi Note 10), Mi CC9 Meitu Edition, Mi CC9 (Mi 9 Lite), Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G (Mi 10i), Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 9 4G (Redmi 9 Power) are missing in this list. This might be due to the fact that these devices are lining up for an Android version upgrade, and we can expect the company to kick-off MIUI 12.5 Beta program with Android 11 base for these devices in the future.

MIUI 12.5 Beta testing registration is open for Xiaomi users in China. We can expect the company to commence MIUI 12.5 China Beta rollout within a couple of days if past record is anything to go by. What are your expectations from MIUI 12.5? Do let us know in the comments below.
