MIUI 12: Super Wallpapers, Floating Windows and Animated Icons are Supported on these Xiaomi, Mi Devices

MIUI 12 comes with a lot of feature, Super Wallpapers and animated icons being some of the noteworthy ones. Here are the eligible devices that are slated to receive these features.

Not too long ago, we saw the debut of Xiaomi’s in-house custom Android skin, dubbed MIUI 12. The company unveiled the MIUI 12 skin first in China and later globally. MIUI 12 comes with a bunch of improvements over its predecessor and has several new features, which make it a noteworthy update. Some of the features which have grabbed everyone’s attention are Super Wallpapers, Floating Windows, and Animated Icons. While Xiaomi has officially announced the list of eligible devices that are slated to receive the MIUI 12 update in the future, there are several smartphones which (sadly) will miss out on the aforementioned features. Take a look at the list of the devices that will indeed support the features that we mentioned above.

List of Xiaomi/Mi devices which will support Super Wallpapers, Floating Windows, and Animated Icons

The company’s official website has created a live support page wherein eligible devices are clearly mentioned. We will start with the devices that are going to support the Super Wallpapers feature:

  • Mi 9

In the remaining devices, only the static wallpapers will be supported.

Floating Windows and animated icons

As far as Floating Windows and animated icons are concerned, they will be supported on the following devices:

Speaking of the list of eligible devices for MIUI 12, Xiaomi has already announced the list of the devices. Notably, MIUI 12 will be rolled out in two stages – round one will commence at the end of June 2020 and will include the Mi 9, Mi 9T, Mi 9T Pro, Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro devices. The second round will include more Xiaomi/Redmi devices, including the Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 9, POCOFONE F1, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10, POCO F2 Pro, POCO X2, Mi 10 Lite, Mi Note 10, Mi 8, Mi 8 Pro, Mi Mix 3, Mi Mix 2S, Mi 9 SE, Mi 9 Lite, Redmi Note 7S, Mi Note 3, Mi Mix 2, Mi Max 3, Mi 8 Lite, Redmi Y2, Redmi S2, Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi Note 6 Pro, Redmi Y3, Redmi 7, Redmi 7A, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8T, Redmi 8, Redmi 8A, Redmi 8A Dual, Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, and Mi Note 10 Lite.
