Xiaomi is gearing up for the unveiling of the Android 12-based MIUI 13 software version. Previously the launch of the MIUI 13 was rumoured to take place in August. However, back then we didn’t see Xiaomi making the announcement of the MIUI 13. Now, as per the new details, the company could unevil the MIUI 13 by the end of this year. While announcing the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update plan for the third batch of devices, Redmi GM has hinted that MIUI 13 is “not far behind”. This does suggest us that the company could launch the MIUI 13 by the end of 2021.

Xiaomi is also rumoured to introduce the Xiaomi 12 flagship smartphone next month. It is possible that the Chinese smartphone maker will announce the MIUI 13 alongside the Xiaomi 12. As far as the features of the MIUI 13 go, it is supposed to introduce iOS-like widgets and Memory Expansion feature, similar to the Virtual RAM feature found on Samsung, iQOO, and Vivo smartphones. Apart from these two features, we can expect Xiaomi to introduce new animations, fonts, redesigned app icons, enhanced notification panel in the MIUI 13. The upcoming MIUI 13 is also rumoured to include a Smart toolbox, Front camera assistant, MIUI Pure Mode, and advanced privacy options. Xiaomi is also expected to add the Floating Game Window feature in the upcoming MIUI 13 software version.
In a piece of related news, Xiaomi has announced the rollout plan of the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version for the third batch of devices. According to the details shared by Xiaomi, up to 25 devices will receive the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version. The release of the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version is limited to the Chinese market as of now. As per Xiaomi executive, the rollout of the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version will finish by the end of December 2021. Devices such as Xiaomi CIVI, Xiaomi Mi 11 Youth Edition, Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi 9 Pro, Mi 9 SE, and more will receive the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version software update.
