MIUI Gets App Drawer Support in Latest Alpha Build, Draws Several New Features from POCO Launcher

Xiaomi is well-known for its custom Android skin dubbed MIUI. MIUI is a heavily customized skin that has a ton of features, making it one of the most talked-about custom skins out there. The company has recently rolled out the latest MIUI 11 update to a big bunch of its smartphones. Over the past two updates, Xiaomi has improved the notification shade quite a lot, but it did not push many improvements and features to the MIUI launcher. Fortunately enough, the next update might change that as the latest alpha version of the MIUI launcher finally brings the much-awaited app drawer.

MIUI Finally Receives App Drawer Feature in the Latest Alpha Build

By default, the app drawer is not enabled in the latest build, and you will have to enable it under the home screen settings. The latest MIUI launcher update brings about a lot of features from the Poco launcher. The app suggestions, app drawer background, the search bar at the bottom of the app drawer, and even the app categorization of the apps has now made its way to the MIUI launcher. Users can also change the icon size and the home screen layout from now. As said, the latest MIUI launcher is currently in the alpha stage, and the company has not revealed anything about the rollout of the final build.
