June saw a flurry of smartphone launches, but July is shaping up to be even bigger—almost as if June was just the trailer. With over 17 new handsets expected this month, the smartphone landscape is set for a major shake-up. From flagships to flagship killers and feature-packed mid-rangers, July’s lineup could redefine what buyers expect at every price point. We’ve handpicked a few standout models that best represent the firepower this month has to offer. Let’s dive in.
Nothing Phone (3)
Nothing is a nascent smartphone brand, but it instantly grabbed everyone’s attention by launching head-turner smartphones, such as the Phone (1) and the Phone (3a), back-to-back. However, it aims to spellbind the entire tech community with the Phone (3) on July 1.
To do so, Carl Pei, the company’s CEO, has already hinted that this new upcoming smartphone will be Nothing’s first true flagship. The brand has confirmed through various posts on X that the Phone (3) will utilise the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor for top-notch performance.
This phone will also be the first in Nothing’s lineup to feature the new Glyph Matrix, a circular module placed at the top-right corner of its rear side. It is said to display pixel-level animations, symbolic visuals, and customised lighting synced with user actions and sound. Moreover, it will boast a 50-megapixel periscope camera. More details about this phone are awaited.
OPPO Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro
OPPO is set to make July a special month by launching its two new smartphones on 3 July. The devices in question are the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro. Since both have already debuted in their home country, China, most of their specifications are already known. The brand has confirmed that the Reno 14 Pro will be India’s first smartphone to be powered by the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 8450 SoC. On the contrary, the standard Reno 14 will continue to draw performance from the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor.
Both smartphones will rock an aerospace-grade aluminium frame. The Pro model will feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. The standard one is expected to arrive with a smaller 6.59-inch display, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the optics front, OPPO may equip both devices with a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS and a 50-megapixel 3.5x telephoto lens. The only difference between them will be their ultra-wide camera’s megapixel count. While the standard Reno 14 may offer an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, the Reno 14 Pro will top it by providing a 50-megapixel ultra-wide snapper.
OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5
It has been four years since OnePlus unveiled its Nord series, and every smartphone in this series has been a bestseller. The brand is all set to continue its winning streak by unveiling the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 on July 8. Most of their specifications are still under wraps. However, the brand has quietly disclosed some key specifications through various posts on X.
The Nord 5 is now confirmed to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor under its hood, which is said to offer a significant jump from last year’s OnePlus Nord 4 with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. It is also paired with Cryo-Velocity VC cooling, alongside a 7,300 mm² heat dissipation area, which manages the temperature to deliver consistent performance.
As for the Nord CE5, no hardware details have been revealed yet. However, Debayan Roy, a prominent leaker, has divulged its key features.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE
Samsung is set to launch the seventh iteration of its foldable lineup on July 9.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, the main star of the show, is rumoured to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is said to deliver 44% better performance than its predecessor. Regarding the camera specifications, it will likely boast a 200-megapixel primary camera, a significant upgrade from the 50-megapixel primary snapper of last year’s model. It will likely run on a 4,272mAh battery, which is a downgrade from the 4,400mAh battery of the Z Fold 6.
The Z Fold 7 won’t be the only smartphone to be launched on July 9. It will be accompanied by the Z Flip 7. It will follow a slightly different trajectory compared to its predecessors. The team at 91Mobiles reported a few days ago that Samsung may opt for its brand-new Exynos 2500 SoC to power the Z Flip 7.
Citing Debayan Roy, the clamshell phone is speculated to feature a 4-inch OLED cover display and a 6.85-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED inner display. He also added that it may boast a 50-megapixel primary camera, paired with a 12MP ultra-wide lens. Moreover, it may pack a 4,300mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
Samsung is expected to unveil more than two smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9. Various leaks have been circulated, hinting at the imminent launch of the Z Flip 7 FE, a new addition to the Z series. It will be a cheaper alternative to the Z Flip 7. The Exynos 2400e is expected to lead in performance, paired with 8GB of RAM. It will likely house dual 12-megapixel cameras. According to Debayan Roy, it may feature a 3.4-inch outer OLED display and a 6.7-inch inner OLED display, both supporting a 120Hz refresh rate.
Vivo X Fold 5 and X200 FE
Samsung isn’t the only company launching a foldable smartphone in July. Vivo is also expected to join in soon with its X Fold 5. Days before its launch, the XpertPick team already revealed its key specifications.
As a result, we know that it will ship with a 6.53-inch LTPO cover display, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. Inside, it will house a large 8.03-inch foldable AMOLED panel with a 2K+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Vivo will continue its dependency on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor for its performance. It will be equipped with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of built-in storage.
On the camera front, the 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary camera will head the triple-camera setup, along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with autofocus, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom.
However, its main highlight will be the massive 6,000mAh battery, making it the foldable phone with the largest battery capacity on the market. It will support 90W wired charging and 30W wireless charging for rapid power delivery.
On the same day, Vivo is likely to launch the X200FE, which will be another unapologetically compact smartphone, after the OnePlus 13s. Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ is expected to manage its performance. It will likely feature a 6.31-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The team at XpertPick has already disclosed that it will measure ~8mm thin and weigh as little as 200 grams.
They also added that it will be the first X-series smartphone with a 50-megapixel AF selfie camera. Speaking of cameras, its rear camera module will house a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary camera, alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. According to them, it will most probably come in three shades: black, blue, and yellow.
