iQOO Neo 10R vs Heat: Can It Handle Long Gaming Sessions?

The iQOO Neo 10R made its debut in India just last month, and it’s already drawing attention for its promising gaming performance. Naturally, we were curious—does it live up to the hype when the action heats up? To find out, we ran a few demanding games like BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile, monitored battery consumption, and tracked temperature changes throughout the session. The results? Well, let’s just say things got interesting. Read on to see how the Neo 10R handled the pressure.

iQOO Neo 10R: For Starters

With the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 at its core, up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage, the iQOO Neo 10R certainly checks all the right boxes on paper. It even comes equipped with a substantial 6,400mAh battery. However, specifications alone rarely tell the full story. To truly gauge its capabilities, we tested how the device handled sustained gaming performance—where power and thermal efficiency go hand in hand.

iQOO Neo 10R: Breaking Down the Experience

Before we delve into the gaming performance, here’s a quick overview of our test setup: the iQOO Neo 10R was fully charged, set to ‘Monster’ performance mode, and the brightness was manually set to maximum with auto-brightness disabled.

At the beginning of the session, the ambient room temperature was 23.7°C. The rear panel of the device measured 30.5°C, while the display registered a slightly warmer 31.2°C—both recorded immediately after charging.

We then put the phone through a two-hour gaming session featuring BGMI, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Genshin Impact. You’ll find the exact graphic settings used in the image below.
