• The Moto Edge 50 Fusion has a similar design, but with a narrower camera module at the back. The device has a plastic bank panel on the Forest Blue and Hot Pink colour variants, while the Forest Green model has a vegan leather finish. It has a maximum thickness of 7.9mm and weighs 175 grams. Design wise, both phones look almost identical. The only major difference is in the size of the camera module, as the Moto Edge 60 Fusion has an additional sensor. It also offers a vegan leather finish by default, adding a premium feel. Motorola has also upgraded the water resistance to IP69, marking some positive changes.

• The Moto Edge 60 Fusion features a 6.67-inch quad-curved pOLED screen. The resolution is 1.5K with 2712×1220 pixels. This panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and supports peak brightness of up to 4500 nits. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
• The Moto Edge 50 Fusion 6.7-inch pOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. The refresh rate is 144Hz, and it supports peak brightness of up to 1500 nits. The screen is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Motorola has upgraded the resolution from 1080p to 1.5K, but has downgraded the refresh rate from 144Hz to 120Hz. This means that you get a sharper display, at the cost of missing out on extra-smooth scrolling.

• The Moto Edge 60 Fusion has a triple rear camera setup. It consists of a 50MP f/1.8 primary Sony LYT-700C sensor with OIS, paired with a 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens, and a third light sensor. This setup can record videos up to 4K 30fps. Selfies are handled by a 32MP sensor.

The primary, ultrawide, and selfie cameras have remained unchanged between the two phones. Motorola has added a third light sensor on the Moto Edge 60 Fusion, which, as per the company, will help the device capture natural colours.

• The Moto Edge 60 Fusion is powered by the Dimensity 7400 chipset, with the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. It is based on TSMC’s 4nm architecture. This is the first phone in India with this new MediaTek chip.
• The Moto Edge 50 Fusion has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, with the Adreno 710 GPU. It is also based on TSMC’s 4nm architecture. This processor is capable of 90fps gaming in BGMI, COD Mobile, and other games.

The Dimensity 7400 is said to be 10% faster than the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. However, the real-world performance could vary, as the Moto Edge 60 Fusion is the first device to feature this chip. Nevertheless, both devices have capable processors that can offer super-smooth performance in daily usage and for gaming.

Moto Edge 60 Fusion vs Moto Edge 50 Fusion: Software

• The Moto Edge 60 Fusion runs on Android 15. It comes with Moto AI features which include smart reminders, analysing nearby objects through the camera, summarising notifications, and more. It also has Gemini AI integration. The device will get three major Android updates and four years of security patches, which makes it eligible for Android 18.
• The Moto Edge 50 Fusion was launched with Android 14, and was recently upgraded to Android 15. however, it lacks the new Moto AI features, and it is unclear whether these will be rolled out with future updates or not. The software update cycle for the device is three Android updates and four years of security patches, which stops at Android 17.

The Moto Edge 60 Fusion offers the new Moto AI features, which help to boost productivity. If you like using the latest features, then it should be a clear choice.

• Battery: Capacity upgraded from 5000mAh to 5500mAh.

Considering that the price of the device has remained unchanged, these are welcome upgrades as we are getting better specifications without a price hike.
