Android 15 on Motorola Phones: What’s New?
The Android 15 update on Motorola devices introduces three new key features:
- App archiving: Users can uninstall an app while preserving the user data. This helps to save space and retain important information from an app that’s not used frequently.
- Private Space: It creates a separate space on your phone to hide and store apps, files, media, and more. This feature improves user privacy. The private space requires a passcode, to keep your private information safe.
- Improved Multi-tasking: This feature is more helpful on the Razr series foldable devices. Users can create pairs of apps in split-screen enabling faster access between any two selected apps. They can also be pinned on the taskbar for faster access. For devices with a dual-screen on the outside, apps can be used on the secondary display without activating the primary screen.
The update also brings improved animations, better battery life, and performance optimizations on all Moto phones. Users can upgrade to Android 15 via an OTA update when available, without loss of data.
