We tested the vegan leather variant of the Vivo T3 Pro 5G, which is heavier in comparison to the competition. However, the smartphone doesn’t feel heavy, as the brand has got the weight distribution right. It is thinner (7.49 / 7.5 mm) despite housing a larger battery compared to the Motorola Edge 50 Neo. The vegan leather variant makes it attractive, which also doesn’t attract fingerprint smudges.
To conclude, we prefer the Motorola Edge 50 Neo over the Vivo T3 Pro 5G as it is lighter with a better IP68 rating and is the only device in the segment with the MIL STD 810H military grade certification.

Motorola Edge 50 Neo vs Vivo T3 Pro 5G: Cameras
Motorola Edge 50 Neo | Vivo T3 Pro 5G | |
Primary Camera | 50MP Sony LYTC 700 primary camera with OIS and f/1.8 aperture | 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with OIS and f/1.8 aperture |

On paper, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo has an advantage over the competitor as it flaunts a telephoto camera and larger ultrawide and selfie cameras. In our testing, the phone captures pictures that are bright, colourful, with sharp details and excellent dynamic range. Motorola has managed to keep the colours and details consistent even in lowlight shots. The phone also captures decent portrait images, which has managed to keep the skin tones true unlike some other smartphones.
The telephoto camera on the Motorola Edge 50 Neo offers slightly more vibrant colours at 2x zoom. While the 3x shots from the 10MP sensor look artificial owing to the overprocessing, it excels in capturing ultrawide shots with excellent details and sharper edges, which is unusual in the segment. However, Motorola needs to work on edge detection as the cutout in processed images isn’t quite perfect. The device also captures decent selfies with great skin tone, and autofocus integration works quite well.
The Vivo T3 Pro 5G can also capture crisp and detailed shots in daylight scenarios. It also captures excellent images in lowlights with excellent details. The phone also excels in portraits, and the outputs are praiseworthy. However, the HDR tuning is currently broken, which results in slightly fewer details in pictures against light. There’s also a lag in shutter speed in both daylight and lowlight conditions.
The HDR performance is better while capturing ultrawide images using the 8MP ultrawide camera. The lowlight images captured using the ultrawide camera lack details but get the colours right. The 16MP selfie snapper on the Vivo T3 Pro 5G also takes excellent images under ample lighting. The phone has a tendency to smooth human skin under low-lit environments, which creates an artificial output.
