We got the Spectre Blue variant, which has a glass panel on the rear. The smartphone is also available in Titan Black and Phantom Purple with a vegan leather design. It also gets IP68 dust and water resistance, bringing peace of mind to the buyers.
The HONOR 200 5G gets a pill-shaped camera module design generally found on a segment-higher smartphone. The rounded edges and its slim design make the device comfortable to hold. However, it has only IP64 dust and water resistance.
Here, we prefer the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G as it gets Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the rear and an advanced IP68 rating.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G has a curved AMOLED display with a sophisticated curvature, which is a bit flawed. The display delivers crisp picture quality with consistent, vibrant colours. It supports HDR10+ streaming, enabling users to enjoy the highest quality content on popular streaming platforms.
The brightness levels are great, both indoors and outdoors. It has a stereo speaker setup that offers loud volume at half volume levels with a balanced sound signature.
The HONOR 200 5G’s display exudes a premium feel and we experienced no accidental touches along its curved edges. It also has an identical resolution and refresh rate, which delivers accurate and vivid colours. The phone also supports similar streaming capabilities.
The HONOR 200 5G performs well indoors and outdoors, providing a comfortable viewing experience. The stereo speakers deliver clear and crisp audio up to 80% volume, although slight distortion becomes noticeable at maximum volume.
The HONOR 200 5G impresses with its outstanding curved display, while the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G stands out for its robust Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G vs HONOR 200 5G: Cameras

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G captures photos with excellent detail and precise HDR processing. Its vibrant colours enhance the appeal of its images. The telephoto camera delivers outstanding portraits, although it occasionally struggles with colour temperatures in certain weather conditions.
The images from the ultrawide camera lack detail and often appear underexposed. In low light, the primary and telephoto cameras produce satisfactory results, with colours that are close to natural. However, we observed occasional blurriness and noise in low-light photos due to the slower shutter speed.
The ultrawide images in low-light conditions are generally pleasing but still exhibit the same issues seen in daylight shots. The front camera performs well, capturing nearly accurate skin tones.
The HONOR 200 5G’s primary camera captures true-to-life images with an accurate white balance under daylight conditions. Although the ultrawide camera delivers good-quality photos, the edges appear stretched to create an ultrawide effect, and some corner areas contain grain. The camera automatically switches to night mode, producing excellent results without grain.
The telephoto camera clicks great photos with similar colour balance, great details, and dynamic range. It excels in portrait capture as it consistently gives crisp images with excellent edge detection, accurate colours, and proper background blur. The selfies have natural colours without any artificial outputs.
Here, we would go with the HONOR 200 as it offers better outputs than the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 features newer CPU cores, leading to higher AnTuTu scores for the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G. It has also maintained 84% of its peak performance in CPU throttling tests, compared to just 67% for the HONOR 200 5G. In comparison, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 performs better in Geekbench, thanks to its higher clock speed and superior GPU.
The HONOR 200 5G handled everyday tasks, including calling, messaging, social media, and more, without lags or stutters. We could play Call of Duty: Mobile with very high-quality settings and maximum FPS, with the frame rates ranging between 57 and 60. However, the upper part of the device became quite warm, making it uncomfortable to touch.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G also supports similar settings in Call of Duty with frame rates, ranging between 49 and 60. However, we noticed some frame drops during the gameplay that vanished upon reaching 45 fps. The routine tasks, including calling, social media surfing, and more, were handled by the smartphone without any major hiccups.
It is difficult to choose between the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G and the HONOR 200 5G in terms of performance. However, we’d favour the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, as it never became uncomfortably hot, unlike the HONOR 200 5G.
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G vs HONOR 200 5G: Software
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G | HONOR 200 5G
Software | HyperOS based on Android 14 | Magic OS 8 based on Android 14 |

The HyperOS on the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G is well-optimised and produces smooth animations. The UI has multiple customisation options and AI features to enhance the user experience. It includes Circle to Search, an AI speech interpreter, an AI translation tool, and more.
The only drawback of HyperOS is the inclusion of several pre-installed apps, some of which can only be uninstalled. Xiaomi restricts users from uninstalling certain apps, allowing them to be disabled only.
The Magic OS 8.0 is also very interactive, offering an enjoyable user experience. It also comes with AI features, including Circle to Search, Magic Capsule, and more. It also offers Magic Ring, Magic Anywhere Door, and personalised lock screens.
In conclusion, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G stands out with the advantage of longer OS and security patch updates.
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G vs HONOR 200 5G: Battery and Charging
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G | HONOR 200 5G
Battery | 6,200mAh | 5,200mAh |
Charging | 90W wired fast charging tech | 100W SuperCharge wired charging tech |
Charging Time | 54 minutes | 43 minutes |
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G has a bigger battery capacity, which is more than enough for a day’s usage. At the end of the day, we even got some juice left for the next day despite our usage, including gaming, photography, social media scrolling, and more.
However, it lasted for only 15 hours and 25 minutes on the PCMark Battery Test, which is underwhelming for a battery of this size. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G takes 10 minutes to charge from 0 to 100% as it houses a larger battery.
In contrast, the HONOR 200 5G lasted for 13 hours and 52 minutes on the PCMark battery test as it has a smaller battery. In our practical tests, the phone offered a screen time of eight to nine hours on light to moderate usage.
Multimedia consumption and gaming can reduce it further to six to seven hours. The HONOR 200 5G’s battery isn’t specially optimised for gaming, as it consumes over 7% battery for a single Call of Duty: Mobile match.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G holds an advantage over its competitor with a larger, better-optimised battery. Additionally, it comes with a charging adapter included in the box.
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G vs HONOR 200 5G: Verdict
To conclude, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G (review) offers slightly better performance without thermal issues. It also has an advanced IP rating with Corning protection on the rear and front. The device also provides longer software updates and a larger battery with a charger included in the box.
On the other hand, the HONOR 200 5G (review) has a slightly more appealing display with identical streaming capabilities. The device also offers a better software experience without major bloatware and supports faster wired charging tech. It also flaunts a better camera setup with higher-res ultrawide and selfie cameras.
