Google showcased the multiple AI capabilities of the Pixel 9 series at the launch event on August 13. As September begins, smartphone brands such as Apple, Motorola, Realme, Infinix, TECNO, and more have also announced their upcoming events and launches.
Of course, the most awaited event in September is the Apple Event, which will take place on September 9 at the Steve Jobs theatre at the Apple Campus in Cupertino, California. Let’s begin with the smartphones debuting in September 2024 without further ado.
TECNO’s smartphone will sport the segment’s first LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dynamic Port. The TECNO Spark Go 1 will be available in Lime Green, Glittery White, and Startrail Black colours with a squircle camera module with dual cameras. The smartphone will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 15W wired charging support.
TECNO claims that the smartphone will provide a lag-free experience to its users for four years. The Spark Go 1 will have dual speakers supporting DTS audio. It also has an IP54 dust and water resistance rating. The device is expected to be powered by the UniSoC T615 chipset and run on HiOS 14 based on Android 14.
The dual camera setup on the rear will likely house a 13MP primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture and a secondary axillary camera. The centred punch hole cutout of the TECNO Spark Go 1 will house an 8MP selfie snapper. The upcoming TECNO smartphone will also sport an infrared sensor to ease the user experience.

The Infinix Hot 50 5G will be available in Black, Blue and Green colour options in the country. The rear of the device will house a pill-shaped camera module with vertically aligned triple cameras. The device will sport a thin, light design and IP54 splash-proof rating.
The Infinix Hot 50 will flaunt an IPS LCD display with a centred punch hole cutout and support Wet Touch. Infinix’s smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC and 4GB of RAM. The Hot 50 5G is also said to be backed by a 4,900mAh rated battery capacity with support for quick charging.

iPhone 16 Series

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max smartphones at the upcoming event. The Cupertino giant will ship the vanilla models with 6.3-inch and 6.7-inch displays, a 60Hz refresh rate, and an aluminium body. In contrast, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will sport larger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays with a titanium body.
The vanilla iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to be powered by the A18 chipset and A18 Pro SoC for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Apple will continue to launch the vanilla models with 128/256/512GB internal storage. The vanilla models will also sport a dual camera setup with a 48MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera.
However, the iPhone 16 Pro models now will have 256GB of storage for the base variant and 512GB/1TB configurations. Realme NARZO 70 Turbo 5G will sport a flat display with minimal bezels and a centred punch hole cutout. The device will include a triple camera and LED flash placed inside an oval-shaped camera module with AI features. The teasers also confirm that the device will sport a stereo speaker setup and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Realme hints that the Realme NARZO 70 Turbo 5G will come with the Turbo Power required for gaming and target Gen Z customers with its sleek design, which is 7.6 mm thick. The NARZO 70 Turbo 5G is expected to launch in purple, green, and yellow options. Realme will debut the device in 6GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB configurations.

Motorola recently unveiled smartphones globally and is expected to pack similar specifications for Indian variants. The Moto G55 5G and Moto G35 5G flaunt a 6.79-inch and 6.49-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 and UniSoC T750 SoCs, which are paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Motorola equips both smartphones with an identical dual camera setup on the rear: a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 16MP selfie snapper.
Both the Moto G55 5G and Moto G35 5G will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W and 18W wired fast charging tech. The devices will run on Hello UI based on Android 14 out of the box and sport a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
