
Vivo has launched the Vivo T4x 5G in India as the successor to the popular Vivo T3x 5G smartphone. The new model features a large LCD display, a MediaTek Dimensity SoC, dual cameras, and the segment’s largest battery, among other highlights.
The Vivo T4x 5G is set to compete with the CMF Phone 1, which was introduced in July 2024 as the brand’s first affordable handset. The CMF Phone 1 stands out with its unique replaceable back panel, AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity SoC, and more.

Vivo T4x 5G vs CMF Phone 1: Design and Build
- The Vivo T4x 5G comes in stylish and vibrant colours, including Pronto Purple and Marine Blue. It features an AG texture with premium finishes and quad-curved edges. The handset is 8.09mm thick and weighs 204/208 grams. It also boasts IP64 dust and water resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and MIL-STD 810H certification.
- The CMF Phone 1 sports a replaceable back panel design, which is available in standard and vegan leather editions. It is available in Black, Blue, Light Green and Orange shades with a thickness of 8/9mm and weighs 197/202 grams for the standard and vegan leather variants. - The Vivo T4x 5G packs the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC combined with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage. It is built on a 4nm process and includes four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5GHz, four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, and a Mali-G615 MP2 GPU. The handset supports up to 8GB of Extended RAM and is claimed to achieve an AnTuTu V10 score of over 728,000 points.
- The CMF Phone 1 also houses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, combined with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It also supports virtual RAM expansion and is said to score over 670,000 points on AnTuTu V10.
Both the Vivo T4x 5G and the CMF Phone 1 use the same MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. However, in our testing, Vivo T4x 5G outperformed the CMF Phone 1 on the AnTuTu V10 benchmarking platform. It also features faster storage, a dedicated Ultra Game Mode, and 4D Game Vibration.

- The Vivo T4x 5G boots FunTouch OS 15, based on Android 15. It will receive two major OS updates and security patch updates for three years. The device is claimed to provide smooth performance for 50 months.
