Vivo X200 Pro vs Google Pixel 9 Pro: Design

Thickness | 8.5mm | 8.5mm |
Weight | 223 grams | 199 grams |

When it comes to thickness, both phones are pretty similar, but the Vivo X200 Pro isn’t exactly what you’d call compact. It’s a large device with a hefty circular camera module and a noticeable weight. As shown in the table above, the Vivo X200 Pro is 24 grams heavier than the Google Pixel 9 Pro.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro, on the other hand, is more compact with its sleek, pill-shaped camera module. Both phones offer a premium, stunning design.
If you’re looking for a premium phone that’s also compact, the Google Pixel 9 Pro is your best bet. However, if you don’t mind a bulkier, more striking device, the Vivo X200 Pro stands out with its premium look.
Vivo X200 Pro vs Google Pixel 9 Pro: Display
Smartphone | Vivo X200 Pro | Google Pixel 9 Pro |
Display | 6.78-inch | 6.3-inch |

The Vivo X200 Pro has a noticeably larger display than the Google Pixel 9 Pro. While the X200 Pro flaunts a sleek, curved screen, the Pixel 9 Pro sticks to a flat display.
Compared to its predecessor, the Vivo X200 Pro hasn’t changed much in size, but the 4D curve adds a level of comfort that feels just right. The display is vibrant and handles high-quality videos beautifully. It’s also bright enough to perform well outdoors, making it a great choice for media lovers.
Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 9 Pro offers a smaller, more compact screen with razor-thin and perfectly balanced bezels. It delivers sharp visuals, deep blacks, and an immersive video experience despite its smaller footprint.
In the end, both phones excel at content consumption. Your choice will depend on whether you prefer a larger display or a more compact and manageable screen.
Vivo X200 Pro vs Google Pixel 9 Pro: Performance

Manufacturing Process | 3nm | 4nm |
The Vivo X200 Pro and Google Pixel 9 Pro are powered by different chipsets. Interestingly, the Vivo X200 Pro boasts a more advanced manufacturing process than the Pixel 9 Pro. Plus, the graphics capabilities also set them apart.
Here’s a look at our AnTuTu score graph below to see how these two phones stack up.
In everyday use, the Vivo X200 Pro proves to be a multitasking powerhouse, handling multiple apps, demanding games, and daily tasks easily. Thanks to the V3+ chip, it also excels in photography and videography, adding another layer to its versatility.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro, on the other hand, handles day-to-day tasks effortlessly but falls short when it comes to heavy gaming. Plus, extended camera use causes the back panel to heat, which can be a frustrating issue for those who rely heavily on their cameras for photography or videography.
So, if you’re purely after the performance, the Vivo X200 Pro stands out as the undeniable champion.
Vivo X200 Pro vs Google Pixel 9 Pro: Software
Smartphone | Vivo X200 Pro | Google Pixel 9 Pro |
Software | FunTouch OS 15 based on Android 15 | Android 14 |
OS Updates | Four major Android upgrades | Seven years of software updates |
The Vivo X200 Pro debuts with FunTouch OS 15, layered over Android 15, straight out of the box. Despite flaunting its flagship status, the X200 Pro drags along the unwanted baggage of bloatware. It’s baffling—why is this still a thing on premium devices? Flagships deserve better. So, if you’re dreaming of a clean software experience, FunTouch OS 15 isn’t exactly the fairy tale ending. And about the software support—four years of Android updates might sound okay until you realise Samsung and Google are extending their commitments until 2031.
Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 9 Pro struts with a cleaner, more user-friendly experience. But there’s a hiccup—it’s preloaded with Android 14 instead of Android 15. This feels like a missed opportunity, given how close the new version was to release. Sure, the Android 15 update is live now, but it would’ve been sweet to unwrap it from day one. Still, the Pixel’s software game is strong—no bloatware, no spam; just pure and organised.
In the end, it’s not even a contest. The Google Pixel 9 Pro owns the software crown.
Vivo X200 Pro vs Google Pixel 9 Pro: Cameras
Smartphone | Vivo X200 Pro | Google Pixel 9 Pro |
Primary Camera | 50MP wide, f/1.6 aperture | 50MP wide, f/1.7 aperture |
Secondary Camera | 200MP periscope telephoto, f/2.7 aperture | 48MP telephoto, f/2.8 aperture |
Tertiary Camera | 50MP ultra-wide, f/2.0 aperture | 48MP ultra-wide, f/1.7 aperture |
Selfie Camera | 32MP, f/2.0 aperture | 42MP, f/2.2 aperture |
Vivo has a well-earned reputation for photography, and the X200 Pro doesn’t disappoint. This year’s model pushes boundaries, surpassing its predecessor in nearly every way. Daylight shots are stunning. Plus, the telephoto pictures are crystal-clear, with no detail left behind, even at higher zoom levels.
That said, ultra-wide shots are where the X200 Pro falters slightly. In certain lighting, edges can lose a bit of sharpness. It’s minor but noticeable if you’re picky. However, the real showstopper is its portrait mode. Vivo has nailed the formula here: edge detection is precise, the background blur feels just right, and skin tones are natural and lifelike.
Switching to the Google Pixel 9 Pro, its daylight photography is top-notch, with a knack for capturing depth. But, ultra-wide shots reveal a chink in its armour—grainy edges pop up in less-than-ideal conditions. On the bright side, its telephoto lens shines, making distant shots effortless and crisp. Portraits, though solid, left me slightly underwhelmed. The skin tones lacked the polish I’d hoped for, which kept them from being exceptional.
In the end, my pick for the ultimate camera phone is the Vivo X200 Pro. Its ability to consistently deliver detail-rich, jaw-dropping images makes it the clear winner in my book.
Vivo X200 Pro vs Google Pixel 9 Pro: Battery and Charging
Smartphone | Vivo X200 Pro | Google Pixel 9 Pro |
Battery | 6,000mAh | 4,700mAh |
Charging Speed | 90W | 27W |
Charging Time | 43 minutes | 1 hour 9 minutes |
PCMark Battery Test | 20 hours 3 minutes | 14 hours 19 minutes |
The Vivo X200 Pro packs a hefty 1,300mAh advantage over the Google Pixel 9 Pro here. Plus, its fast-charging game is on point. Despite carrying a beastly 6,000mAh battery, the X200 Pro manages to top up 26 minutes faster than the Pixel 9 Pro—a true testament to its charging efficiency.
It doesn’t stop there. In the PCMark Battery test, the X200 Pro outlasted its rival by nearly six hours, delivering endurance that’s hard to overlook.
Simply put, the Vivo X200 Pro dominates in the battery department. It doesn’t just outshine the Pixel—it even beats the battery performance of its predecessor, the Vivo X100 Pro.
Vivo X200 Pro vs Google Pixel 9 Pro: Verdict
Considering all aspects, the Vivo X200 Pro takes the crown in the flagship arena. Vivo has crafted a device that truly excels, ticking the boxes for design, audio, display, performance, battery life, and, most impressively, its cameras. If you’re after a smartphone that delivers a well-rounded package and can handle anything (even if the software isn’t its strongest suit), the Vivo X200 Pro is the one to pick.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro also brings its own strengths to the table, with standout cameras and a software experience that’s second to none. However, if raw performance is a priority, the Pixel 9 Pro might leave you wanting more.
