Vivo has already revealed the camera specifications of the X200 Ultra. The company posted an image of the phone’s camera module on Weibo. It revealed that the Vivo X200 Ultra will retain the 200MP Samsung HP9 sensor for the telephoto camera with a new prism-lens technology. It will have 38% higher light sensitivity compared to its predecessor.
It will be paired with a 14mm ultra-wide lens, but the resolution is not yet known. The promotional image also suggests that the device will retain the same 50MP primary camera with Sony LYT-818 sensor from the Vivo X200 Pro. The entire camera setup will feature Zeiss optics.
The Vivo X200 Ultra will be equipped with the Vivo V3+ and VS1 imaging chips, which will use artificial intelligence for image processing. This will help to achieve natural colours, better bokeh effects in portrait photography, and improved dynamic range. The camera samples shared by the brand reveal that the device will support 4K 120fps video recording, and 4K 60fps with 10-bit log.
Vivo also confirmed a retro-style photography kit for the X200 Ultra as an add-on accessory. It will have a bracket design, manual camera controls, a videography button, and many other nifty features. The kit will also sport an additional 2300mAh battery. The company has also revealed an external lens co-developed with Zeiss, which could offer higher optical zoom capabilities.
As per promotional images, the Vivo X200 Ultra will feature a 2K resolution OLED display with Zeiss branding. It will also have Armour Glass protection. Reports suggest that the device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, becoming the first device in the Vivo X200 Series to equip Qualcomm’s flagship chip. To recall, the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro have the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor.
The Vivo X200 Ultra is said to feature a 6000mAh battery. It could support 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. However, the company has not confirmed these metrics.
