Taiwanese giant Asus and Lenovo are going to be unveiling their respective gaming phones this year and the headlining feature is that both of them will be powered by the Snapdragon 865+ SoC. For Lenovo, the phone being announced is the Lenovo Legion smartphone which is going to be a first for the company under its Legion gaming brand. Asus will be launching the third-gen ROG Phone 3 for the mobile gaming audience. Both smartphones will be revealed on July 22 while only the ROG Phone 3 is launching in India on the same date.

Lenovo Legion Gaming smartphone: Expected specs
The Snapdragon 865+ SoC happens to be clocked at a maximum frequency of 3.1 GHz. It is said to be at least 10 percent more powerful than the Snapdragon 865 SoC. The phone is said to have a newly designed heat dissipation system which will include 14 temperature sensors. Other gaming-centric features include dual X-axis linear motors and on the display side of things, the device will bring you a 144Hz display with an FHD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution.
The Legion Gaming phone was also spotted on AnTuTu benchmarking platform as well where it had an overall score of 648,871. For comparison, the highest score in the smartphone world was held by the Nubia Red Magic 5G which had an overall tall of 633,724. The Legion Gaming phone was seen to have 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. We should see some more variants of the device as well.
Apart from these, other features on the device include a dual-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor and a 16MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front, the phone will have a pop-out selfie camera with a 20MP resolution. While the battery capacity of the device is not known at the moment, the device will come with dual 45W (90W) support.
Asus ROG Phone 3: Expected specs and price
Like the Legion Gaming phone, the ROG Phone 3, which now has a landing page on Flipkart, will also pack in Snapdragon 865+ SoC. The device had been spotted on the Chinese certification website TENNA which has shed light on other key specifications of the device. The phone is said to have a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ 1,080×2,340 resolution. In terms of screen refresh rate, we should see a 120Hz screen although 144Hz is also a possibility. RAM variants on the device will range from 8GB to 16GB while storage of the phone will be from 128GB to 512GB.
In terms of optics, the device will have a triple-camera setup which will have a 64MP lens as the primary sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor. On the battery front, the phone will have a 6,000mAh cell with fast charging support. Android 10, dual-USB Type-C ports, shoulder buttons and more are expected on the phone alongside a new vapour cooling mechanism.
