Today, iQOO revealed the launch date of the much-anticipated iQOO 13 flagship smartphone in India. Amazon has unveiled the Amazon Clinic, which offers online doctor consultations for multiple health conditions. The Government of India (GoI) has approved the in-flight Wi-Fi services for domestic routes in the country. Let’s look at the top five important news stories of the day.
iQOO 13 Launch Date
iQOO India CEO has confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the iQOO 13 will launch on December 3 in the country. The phone will be the second smartphone in the country to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. It will also house the in-house Q2 supercomputing chip for 144fps game frame interpolation.

The iQOO 13 is also confirmed to sport a 2K LTPO AMOLED panel and launch in a Legend Edition (White) colour. Read more here.
Amazon Clinic Unveiled
Amazon India has introduced the Amazon Clinic, which will compete against similar telehealth platforms, including Practo, Medibuddy, 1mg Online Consultation, and more. It offers consultations with specialist doctors from various fields via video, audio, and chat support. Amazon also offers unlimited seven days of free follow-up.
The consultation will typically last for up to 30 minutes, and the fee starts at Rs 299 and goes up to Rs 799. Read more here.
Google Photos Brings New Feature
Google Photos has started rolling out the Updates Page, which will centralise all your app activities in one spot. It will present activities in a neatly ordered format for better tracking, and users can check activity from today, yesterday, this week, this month, and more. Google has also removed the sharing button from the app, replaced by a bell icon.

Domestic In-Flight Wi-Fi Services
The Government of India (GoI) has amended its Flight and Maritime Connectivity Rules, which now allow in-flight Wi-Fi services on domestic routes. The notification released by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) allows the flight carriers to install in-flight Wi-Fi services at their discretion. It was previously disallowed to prevent interference in communication between the flight and the Air Traffic Control (ATC).
Vistara, now merged with Air India, was the only Indian carrier to offer inflight Wi-Fi services to users on its international routes. Read more here.
Sony PlayStation 5 Pro Goes Global
The Sony PS5 Pro was announced in September and is now available in selected global markets. Sony has confirmed that the device won’t be available in some countries, including India, which doesn’t allow the 6GHz wireless band used in IEEE 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7). To recall, the Wi-Fi Alliance unveiled the Wi-Fi 7 in January 2024 with faster speeds, less latency, and more.
