Today, OPPO has launched the OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G in India, which is the first to debut with an IP69 rating. Qualcomm has revealed the dates for the upcoming Snapdragon Summit 2024, which will be held in the US. Let’s look at the top five important news stories of the day.

OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G Launched

The OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G has been launched in the country with an IP69 rating and MIL-STD 810H certification. The smartphone flaunts a 6.7-inch 3D curved AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a peak HDR brightness of 950 nits, 2160 Hz PWM dimming, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2024 Announced

Qualcomm has confirmed that the Snapdragon Summit 2024 will be held between October 21 and 23. The upcoming Snapdragon Summit will be held in Maui, Hawaii, similar to the previous summit. Qualcomm’s CMO has previously confirmed the launch of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC at the upcoming event.

Marshall Minor IV TWS Launched

Marshall has launched the Marshall Minor IV TWS in India as an affordable offering from the brand. The Marshall Minor IV TWS sports a 12mm dynamic driver paired with Marshall Signature Sound to deliver balanced sound. Marshall claims that the TWS will offer playback of over 30 hours with the charging case.

TRAI Might Charge Telcos a Fee for Phone Numbers

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) could soon start charging telecom operators a fee for phone numbers for fair and efficient usage of numbers. The latest move comes after the telecom struggles to find new customers. TRAI could also soon start charging operators that hold numbers with a low utilisation rate.

TRAI is looking to impose either a one-time fee per number or an annual charging cycle on operators, which might be levied on customers at the end by the telecom operators. Read more here.

Google Pixel 8 Price in India Discounted

Google launched the Google Pixel 8 at Rs 75,999 for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The smartphone has received a Rs 15,000 price cut on Flipkart, lowering the price to Rs 60,999 in the country.
