Today, Motorola announced the Moto G85 5G smartphone in India to target consumers in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment. Lava has also announced the Lava Blaze X 5G smartphone in the country with a curved AMOLED display. Let’s look at the top five important news stories of the day.

Moto G85 5G Launched

The Moto G85 5G sports a 6.67-inch 3D curved pOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.

Lava Blaze X 5G Launched

The Lava Blaze X 5G is the latest smartphone from the brand, with the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Lava equips the smartphone with a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits of brightness.

JioTag Air Bluetooth Tracker Launched

Jio has announced the JioTag Air Bluetooth tracker in India as a successor to the original JioTag. The JioTag Air sports Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and is compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones. The latest Bluetooth tracker also supports Apple’s Find My Network and sports a built-in speaker that can generate sound up to 120 dB.

WhatsApp Introduces Context Cards

WhatsApp has started rolling out the Context Cards for group chats to provide users with context about group chat invites.

The Context Card will be displayed upon receiving an invitation to join a WhatsApp group with relevant information. The card will display whether the person invited is a contact or non-contact. Read more here.

DAEWOO Introduces New Android Smart LED TVs

DAEWOO has announced the launch of Android Smart LED TVs in 32-inch and 43-inch screen sizes. The 32-inch panel sports a resolution of 1366×786 pixels, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of ROM. In contrast, the 43-inch variant offers a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of ROM. Both 32-inch and 43-inch TVs run on Android version 11.1 out of the box.
