Google has announced the price cut for older Pixel smartphones in India after launching the new Pixel 9 series, along with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Google Pixel 8 Series Price Cut
Google has announced a price cut for the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, and Pixel 7a smartphones in India. The Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 are cheaper by Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 and now start at Rs 99,999 and Rs 71,999, respectively. The prices can further go down by applying several discounts on Flipkart.
The Google Pixel 8a and Pixel 7a get a price cut of Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 in India, which makes them available for Rs 49,999 and Rs 41,999, respectively. Read more here.
CERT-In Warns Windows OS Users
The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) in India has issued a warning about the multiple vulnerabilities in Windows 10 and Windows 11. The vulnerabilities were found in two different builds of the OS, which are flagged as medium risk. The agency has revealed that the flaws were found in Virtualisation-Based Security (VBS) and Windows Backup.
CERT claims that the attackers can gain elevated privileges on the targeted system, and users are advised to apply recommendations by Microsoft to prevent unauthorised access. Check it out here.
Google Pixel 9 Series Launched
Google has equipped the latest Pixel 9 series smartphones with the in-house Tensor G4 SoC and Titan M2 security chipset. The vanilla Pixel 9 flaunts a 6.3-inch Actua display and dual cameras, which are available for Rs 79,999. The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL sport a 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch Super Actua OLED display and triple cameras, available for Rs 1,09,999 and Rs 1,24,999, respectively.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes with an 8-inch inner screen and a 6.3-inch cover screen with triple cameras and starts at Rs 1,72,999. Read more here.
HUAWEI Watch GT 4 Launched
The HUAWEI Watch GT 4 went official in the global markets in 2023 with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with 466×466 pixels resolution. The smartwatch has a stainless-steel case and comes with an optical heart rate sensor, temperature sensor, barometer sensor, and more, with support for HUAWEI TruSeen 5.5+, TrueSleep 3.0, and more.
The HUAWEI Watch GT 4 is priced at Rs 14,999 and will be available through Flipkart starting August 16 in the country. Check it out here.
Realme 320W SuperSonic Charging Introduced
Realme announced the 320W SuperSonic Charging tech at the Annual 828 Fan Festival held in Shenzhen, China. The company claims a smartphone with a 4,420mAh battery can be charged from 0 to 100% in four minutes and 30 seconds. Realme equips the tech with an AirGap voltage transformer for safety in fast charging.
The brand claims that the voltage transformer is compact, which is smaller than a fingertip which reduces voltage to 20V. Read more here.
