Today, HMD Global has launched the HMD Skyline with self-repairability capability in India. HONOR has introduced the HONOR Pad X8a to compete against the affordable tablets in the country. OnePlus has also unveiled the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 as the vanilla model of the Nord Buds 3 Pro, which went official in July 2024. Let’s look at the top five important news stories of the day.

HMD Skyline Launched

The HMD Skyline flaunts a 6.55-inch pOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC fabricated on a 4nm process. The device runs on Android 14 out of the box and is eligible for two OS upgrades.

HONOR Pad X8a Launched

The HONOR Pad X8a comes in a single 4GB + 128GB configuration priced at Rs 12,999, which also bundles a flip cover for free. The tablet sports an 11-inch LCD screen with FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits of brightness. The HONOR Pad X8s packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC and runs MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 out of the box.

It is backed by an 8,300mAh battery and sports a 5MP selfie snapper and another 5MP rear camera. Read more here.

OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Launched

OnePlus has launched the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 in Harmonic Grey and Melodic White colour options. The Nord Buds 3 sports 12.4mm titanium dynamic drivers with support for Pro-level audio. It comes with support for BassWave 2.0 tech to deliver ultra-bass output and supports active noise cancellation up to 32dB. The earbuds are claimed to offer a playback time of up to 12 hours without ANC and 8 hours with ANC.

The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 will be available from September 20 for Rs 2,299 through Flipkart, the OnePlus India e-Store, Croma, and more. Read more here.

Samsung Begins Pre-Reserve for Next-Gen Tablets

Samsung India has started accepting pre-reservations for the next-gen flagship Samsung Galaxy tablets in the country. The interest customers can pre-reserve after a payment of Rs 1,000 for benefits worth up to Rs 3,499. The facility to pre-reserve the upcoming Galaxy tablets is live on Flipkart, Amazon, and Samsung-authorised retailers.

Samsung Galaxy F05 Launched

Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy F05, powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC with support for virtual RAM expansion and a microSD card slot with up to 1TB of expansion. The Galaxy F05 flaunts a 6.7-inch display with HD+ resolution and a traditional water drop style notch. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging tech.
