Google Expands Offline Presence in India
Google is also expanding its offline presence in India. The company will open two new Walk-in service centres in Delhi and Bengaluru on August 15, 2024. A third store will also open soon in Mumbai.
These service centres will be operated by F1 Info Solutions and Services, a subsidiary of Flipkart. Users will get same-day repair services, replacements, exchanges, and after-sales support at these centres.
Google has also partnered with Croma and Reliance Retail for the Pixel devices’ offline presence. The latest Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro will be available for purchase at over 150 offline stores in India across 15 cities starting today, i.e., August 14.
Google recently announced that the company has started rolling out the Made in India Pixel 8. This should eventually help to reduce the cost of Pixel smartphones in the country but let’s see!
