Honor is preparing to unveil its new budget offering called X5b. Today, our team spotted this device on the Google Play Console website, which revealed the front look and some of the device’s key specs. Here’s everything you need to know about:

Honor X5b on Google Play Console

The device, listed with the model number GFY-LX2P, confirms its name as the Honor X5b. From the front panel shown in the listing, the X5b looks like most other budget phones, featuring thick bezels around the display and a waterdrop notch at the centre. It seems to closely resemble its expected predecessor, the Honor X5, which was launched last year.

The listing also highlights some key specs, revealing that the X5b will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and a Cortex A53 GPU. It will run on an Android 14-based OS out of the box, and the display will offer a 720×1620 resolution with a pixel density of 320 DPI.

Interestingly, Honor already has a device called the X6b, powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. Its front design also closely resembles the upcoming X5b, raising questions about how the company plans to market or position the X5b.

However, neither of these devices has been released in the Indian market, and it’s unlikely that the upcoming X5b will be available here either.
