Apple has finally confirmed the iOS 18 release date at its Glow Time event. The iOS 18 update will be out for all (with compatible devices, of course) on September 16. Here are the details.
iOS 18 Update Releasing in a Few Days
Announced at WWDC 2024, the update will bring several changes like:
- Home screen customisations
- Apple Intelligence
- New app icons
- The option to hide apps
- A refreshed Control Center and a new power button
- The redesigned Photos app
- A new Game mode
- The new Passwords app

One thing to note is that Apple Intelligence is for the iPhone 16 series and the iPhone 15 Pro models. It will reach these phones in beta next month in US English. Other languages will be supported next year.
Apple will also release the iPadOS 18 and watchOS 18 on the same date. There’s no word on the new release timeline of the new macOS and tvOS updates.
