The JioBharat J1 is a 4G-enabled keypad phone. It features a 2.8-inch screen along with traditional keypad buttons. The phone has four navigation buttons, a select button, and dedicated keys to accept and reject calls.
The JioBharat J1 is powered by the Threadx RTOS operating system. The phone supports UPI Payments via JioPay. Users can send and receive money using UPI, without any additional charges. It is also equipped with a single rear camera which can be used to scan and pay merchant QR codes using UPI.
The phone can also stream Live TV, movies, and music through the built-in JioTV, JioCinema, and JioSaavn apps. Over 455+ live TV channels are supported. Additionally, the device lets users share and access images and videos on the cloud using JioPhotos. It also has a top-mounted LED flash which can be used as a torch.
The JioBharat J1 is backed by a 2,500mAh battery. The device is carrier-locked to the Jio 4G network. Users can get the JioBharat monthly recharge plan worth Rs 123, which provides unlimited calls, 14GB total data, and access to all supported Jio apps for a month. UPI, TV streaming, and other features will not work with other SIM card options. Jio is offering a 1-year warranty on the JioBharat J1.
