
Lava has officially teased the launch of a new Lava Shark smartphone in India via their X (formerly Twitter) handle. This upcoming model will be the 5G upgrade to the original Lava Shark, which debuted with 4G support earlier this year in March 2025. The launch is scheduled for May 23, with early rumours pointing to the name Lava Shark 5G.
Under the hood, the device is rumoured to pack the Unisoc T765 chipset, accompanied by 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It’s expected to run Android 15 right out of the box, offering the latest software experience.
Lava also highlights that the new model will come with LPDDR4X RAM, promising quicker multitasking, seamless app transitions, and improved memory efficiency—perfect for streaming, social media, and staying connected on the move.
