MediaTek Upcoming Launch: All We Know So Far
MediaTek will host the upcoming event on October 9 to unveil the new generation of MediaTek products. This will most likely include the flagship Dimensity 9400 SoC. This is said to be paired with Arm Immortalis G925 MC12 GPU.
The chipset was spotted on multiple certifications, which confirms that MediaTek will debut with octa-core architecture. The forthcoming SoC is expected to sport one Cortex X5 core at 3.4GHz, three Cortex X4 cores at 3.3GHz, and four Cortex A720 cores at 2.4GHz.
The Dimensity 9400 SoC with the MT6991 model number has scored 2,876 points in single-core and 8,987 points in multi-core tests on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The chipset is said to be fabricated on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm N3E node and could offer 35% more efficiency than its predecessor.
The recently leaked GPU benchmark scores suggest that the Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU could offer better performance than Apple’s A18 Pro and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The OPPO Find X8 series is expected to be the first to debut with the upcoming Dimensity 9400 SoC.
However, we do lack confirmed details about the forthcoming MediaTek chipset. We will keep you posted once there’s some official information available, so, stay tuned.
